Dr. Hanna Gagel
Studied art history, literature and history. Lives in Berlin and Zurich. Has lectured at the Scuola di Scultura since 1998.
Studied History of Art, Literature and History in Heidelberg, Bonn and Berlin. Since 1975 she has been residing in Zurich where, for 25 years, she has taught History of Art and Communication in Art (“Kunstvermittlung”) at the “Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst”.
In 1984 she was co-organizer of the second conference for female art historians at the University of Zurich. Among other things she published “Den eigenen Augen trauen. Über weibliche und männliche Wahrnehmung in der Kunst” (To trust one’s own eyes. About feminine and masculine perception in art). She also published: ”So viel Energie – Künstlerinnen in der dritten Lebensphase” (So much energy – female artists in the third phase of their lives), published 2005 in the AvivA Verlag, Berlin. ISBN 3-932338-24-3.
