Making a plaster cast from a clay model
In this technically oriented course the basics of modelling and simple plaster casting will be taught. Getting to know the materials, and meaningful ways of working, will be the main focus.
First we experience, through the sense of touch, elementary conditions in the creation of basic sculptural elements. Subsequently we deepen the experiences we have made by building bigger sculptural pieces of work. With the help of the created models we practise the basic steps of plaster casting in accordance with the "lost pattern" technique.
